1. What if I go out of town?
We need 48 hour notice to change your delivery schedule. We will redeliver when you get back and credit you for the days you were off the program.
2. What if I go out to dinner?
You may skip our dinner that evening and eat a balanced dinner on your own. You would have your zone meal that could be interchangeable for lunch or dinner the next day. If you eat our zone dinner, you may have a light salad at dinner later that evening.
3. Can I drink alcohol?
If you drink alcohol (carbs), balance it out with protein and fat (a piece of low fat cheese). Try and omit your zone snack during the day in anticipation of drinking alcohol. If you drink alcohol during dinner, consider it to be your carbs for that meal.
4. How will they deliver if I have no doorman?
We use a duplicate key for the exterior door and deliver before 5AM without waking you, right outside your interior (apartment) door.
5. What do I do when I’m off the program?
During the program, we supply you with daily menus as well as physically showing you the portion size you should be having. You may use this as a learning experience to continue in the future. We also have maintenance programs of 5 days per week, should you choose to continue with us.
6. What’s the average weight loss?
Our average clients lose 1 – 3 lbs. per week.
7. What if I’m hungry?
The program is modified for you and we can increase snack and portion size for you while maintaining weight loss. When you give your body the proper percentages of carbs, protein, and fat; hunger and cravings become a think of the past.
8. How is the food heated?
You may heat the meals for one to two minutes in a microwave or transfer to a regular dish and heat in on oven to desired temperature.
9. What if I’m on medication?
We suggest consulting your physician before you start this or any other nutrition program.
10. How do I renew the program?
After the initial thirty-one days we will mail you a bill for the next thirty-one days.
11. What do I get if I refer someone?
We give you a free day in the Zone.
12. Where do I leave the empty cooler bag when the day is over?
Just outside your door. We will exchange it the next day with a full cooler bag.
13. How can the Zone Delivery USA benefit my health?

15. I have specialized nutrition requirements. Will the Zone Delivery USA cater to my needs?
Absolutely! Our nutritional creates special programs for our clients with Cardiac Disease, Diabetes, Hypertension, Arthritis, Digestive Disorders, Depression, Chronic Fatigue, and Menopause/PMS. In addition, we can create programs for clients with rigid vitamin/mineral regimes, obesity/weight management, or whatever requirements or desires may be.
16. What if I want to receive the Zone Delivery USA for only 5 days a week opposed to 7 days a week?
To receive the maximum Zone Diet benefits, we recommend you stay on the diet for the full seven days a week. The easiest way to do this is to utilize the zone Delivery USA Service each day. However, if utilizing the Zone only 5 days a week better suits your needs, we can do that too! Again, we recommend that you still keep to your nutritional diet plan for the remaining two days.
17. How much money will I spend on food a day?
On average, New Yorkers spend $20 - $25 per day on food. For only a few dollars more, you will have New York’s Premier diet delivery service prepare you 3 delicious meals and 2 snacks, delivered fresh to your doorstep by 5AM. Every day!
18. What make The Zone Diet program better than all those other diets?
While many “fad diets”, such as The Atkins Diet and other high-protein/low-fat/low-carb diets, do promote body fat weight loss, they also promote the undesirable loss of lean body mass (i.e. muscle), strain the liver, increase carbohydrate cravings, and may decrease mental focus. The high0carb/low-fat diets promote high insulin production, which actually increases body fat, increases the chance of heart disease, and may even be dangerous for some diabetics. The Zone Diet is different because it balances your carbohydrate/protein/fat intake at a 40/30/30 ratio. This balance promotes lean body mass and body fat weight loss, increases energy levels and mental focus, and decreases sugar and carbohydrate cravings.
19. What if I am allergic to, or just don’t like, a particular food?
Our nutrition department creates comprehensive profiles for each and every client. Your program is then tailored to your needs, from vegetarian meals to lactose intolerance or other allergies, and yes, even to tastes.
20. How is the Zone program different from the Atkin’s program?
The Zone Diet is a protein adequate, not high protein diet. You can not go into ketosis, which is an abnormal state, and the excessive protein which the body can not metabolize does not convert to fat.
21. Why not just reduce calories?
Gaining or losing fat is controlled by levels of insulin, not just caloric intake. The Zone program is a reduced calorie diet that is, most importantly, hormonally correct. By keeping insulin in a tight Zone, you can access stored energy (fats and carbs). You are not hungry on the Zone Program because your blood sugar are maintained by hormone glucagon.
22. How do you know if you’re producing too much insulin?
If you are “apple shaped” or if you are normal weighted and feel sluggish, lightheaded or wake up tired.
23. Can I ever eat rice, pasta or bagels again?
Of course you can, but in moderation. Make sure most of your carbohydrates come from fruits and vegetables. By eating low-glycemic carbohydrates, you are providing maximum amounts of vitamins and minerals with the least amount of carbs. This will maintain the best possible balance of your insulin levels.
24. Isn’t having 30% fat in the diet too much?
Since it is excess insulin that makes you fat, having more fat in the diet becomes an important tool in reducing insulin. The best type of fat to add is monosaturated fat, like olive oil, guacamole, almonds and macadamia nuts.
25. How long before I can expect results?
Reduced carbohydrate cravings with increased mental focus should occur within 3 days or less. Within a week your clothes will feel looser. You may only lose one and a half pounds on the scale but it is pure fat (picture one and a half pounds of chop meat.)
26. I’m not overweight. Why would I want to follow the Zone Diet?
It is a lifelong hormonal control program. If you simply want to think and perform better, the program is for you; even if you are at your ideal body fat percentage.
27. Do I eat my meal or snack even if I’m not hungry?
Yes. You must eat frequently in order to maintain hormonal balance from one meal to the other, this prevents fat from being stored.
28. Will the Zone Nutrition Program heal the damage done to my body over the years?
The body has a remarkable ability to heal itself, given that you make appropriate changes. The most effective way to begin the repair process is diet, especially one that considers food as medicine.
29. What supplements should I take?
The most important supplement on the Zone program is molecularly distilled fish oils. We also offer a wonderful antioxidant rich multivitamin. The combination will insure optimal well being and success on the program.
